Maneca
Luiza Maraschin studied Architecture and Urbanism at FAAP, in Sao Paulo.
Under the influence of the Sao Paulo metropolis and, from early years Luiza has always been close to industrial design.
She dedicates herself to the study of photography and 3D software as well, with a focus on product and environment conceptual development. Luiza acquired a deep background in shape manipulation, working with complex modeling, textures and lights in virtual dimensions and, also developed the technical prowess to make them feasible.
Luiza acts as an interdisciplinary creative and participates in projects in areas such as automotive interiors, furniture, advertising, and audiovisual.
From Luiza’s expansive repertoire, restless gaze, and urban soul, in 2018, the first creations of MANECA emerge.
MANECA is more than a jewelry brand, it is a design studio that aims for a new perspective for classical pieces. Explores different layers in its creative process, while experimenting with form in the materiality of space, on scales of jewelry, sculpture or objects.
Each piece created by Luiza, comes from an intuitive, authorial, and meticulous process, in which craftsmanship is combined with 3D modeling technology, resulting in a unique and unexpected design. Surfaces that resonate distortions, asymmetries, and angular movements. Thus composing an aesthetic for MANECA, one that appreciates all that which is, simple and precise yet imperfect.
The jewels are crafted in monolithic sterling silver with natural finishing. Decisions made to minimize environmental impacts. Maneca produces selected editions for its collections.
