Depedro
Depedro is a slow fashion brand from the Northeast region of Brazil that creates handmade products, generating income and appreciating the roots of its place of origin.
Its creations, made from sustainable raw materials, draw inspiration in the exalted regionalism of traditional techniques and embroidery from the sertão (the “hinterland” or “backcountry”, which in Brazil, refers to one of the four sub-regions of the Northeast region).
The brand’s mission is to humanize processes and the production chain, made up of artisans who work on the countryside and on the coastal areas.
Marcus Figueiredo, the brand’s creative diretor and CEO, was born in Serão do Cariri, and is the name behind it all: “We believe in fashion that actually pays attention to people and their needs, considering they have an impact on society. Our policies prioritize the humanization of processes, and we hope these practices reverberate in the world, transforming relating.”
