Glorinha Paranaguá

Born in 1990 with a small and charming shop in Ipanema, the accessories brand Glorinha Paranaguá is located in Rio de Janeiro. She was married to the diplomat Paulo Paranaguá. Together they lived for decades in countries such as Argentina, France, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Morocco, Kuwait and Venezuela.

The pieces are a constant reminder of Glorinha’s experiences - her taste for fashion accompanied her around the world, specially in Paris, where she made many friends. As a tribute to Brazilian handcrafts, the bags they create are unique and explore traditional materials and techniques of the land. Bamboo, straw and wood horn are among the materials used in their collections, known for their impeccable finishing. The details of each items are often playful and can come in the form of bananas, pineapples, monkeys, frogs, turtles and other animals. Brooches, bracelets and necklaces complete the portfolio.

The bamboo clutch reached overseas markets and became a brand icon. Timeless and unique piece, is presented in all collections, being reinvented in different formats and sizes. Artisanal and sophisticated product that delighted buyers of national and international stores like Colette and Moda Operandi.

Today the brand keeps preserving its DNA, but is always keeping an eye on what’s coming next, with Naná Paranaguá and Yasmine de Orleans e Bragança, daughter-in-law and granddaughter of Glorinha, in the direction.

Naná Paranaguá

Born in São Paulo, she graduated in History at Universidade de São Paulo. She started in fashion through the hands of Gloria Kalil, with whom she created products for Fiorucci Home and Accessories lines for three years. Moving to Rio de Janeiro she continued her career in the fashion market accumulating experience in the last 30 years as a style assistant for brands such as Georges Henri, Frankie Amaury and Maria Bonita, carioca fashion icons.

Since 2005, she has taken up the challenge of the creative direction of GLORINHA PARANAGUÁ, establishing the presence of the brand in the international market with handcrafted and sophisticated products that delight its buyers.

Yasmine de Orleans e Bragança

Born in Rio de Janeiro, graduated in Graphic Design at PUC-RJ. She began her career at Marcia Cabral’s studio and later joined Ana Laet’s team, where she worked for 5 years doing art direction and patterns for clients such as Maria Bonita Extra, Andrea Marques, Le Lis Blanc and Shopping Leblon.

Yasmine always contributed with patterns for her grandmother’s collections. Like Glorinha, she has international experience, living in places like; Shanghai, Singapore and Paris. In Shanghai she developed exclusive patterns for the Charles Philip Shanghai slippers, worked with the graphic and digital design of Edit Lifestyle in Singapore, among other clients. Besides that, Yasmine has a professional degree in haute couture embroidery at Lesage School, Paris.

Back in Brazil, she joined the creative direction of the brand together with her mother. Yasmine aims to evolve the brand performance and expand its presence in national and international markets.
